Founded in 1890 it’s named after Sir Henry Havelock, an English general and was incorporated in 1893 and annexed into Lincoln, NE in 1930. The historic Havelock district in Northwest Lincoln is home to many locally owned restaurants, parks, businesses and shopping. Havelock has been described as a small "town" within the capital city.
